I am fitting larger wheels to the front of my EB and need to space the wheels out by 30mm to make the wheels clear the upper ball joint. I could fit 30mm hub adapters, but could i otherwise fit AUI or AUII hubs and brakes to get a similar increase in track?

I was toying with raising it in that thread but figured it might be neater to raise it in a new one. The question is slightly different in an important way. I don't think the answer is in the other thread, although pm'ing macxr8 and XTT909 is mentioned. If there is no response here i can do that.

I realise this question would have been posed numerous times, but people would previously not have wanted a wider track.

The simple answer is, NO.
The long answer is, YES. If you want to cut and shut a complete AU front subframe etc into the bottom of your car. Would require engineering etc. Or go and buy the 330mm brake kit, beggining at around $1200, with the AU offset. And yes, we all have considered doing this at some point, and research has shown that it is not a cheap option. BenJ

I guess i was wondering on the outside chance that i might be able to fit the AUI hub and get increased track, and maybe still be able to use the O.E. calipers. Seems not. Thanks.
Does anyone know why ford changed the wheel offsets? To get the lower balljoint more outboard to be more suitable for wider tyres?
