hay as my title says my parkers come on when i put my foot on the brake, and also if u have the lights on foot on the brake and turn it off it still runs until you either remove your foot off the brake or turn the lights off. any 1 help??????? my mate said fill up the brake fuild and i did that and it stopd the parkers from coming on but it started the above prob again so ive got no idea........

You've put in the wrong brake light globes, or a filament has dropped in one and shorted.
Or someones tapped into the wrong lighting circuit to gain power, what was the last electrical thing you touched?

Take the brake light globes out and see if it is still doing it.. if so, you have a short somewhere.

havent touched anything electrical but my drivers side brake light is out. could it have anything to do with the master cyl leaking?

Replace that globe. As krytox said, the filament has dropped and is shorting out causing a back feed. No it wont have anything to do with your master cylinder leaking.

ive never thought that could happen (filament)....whats the odds of that, u ever actually seen this happen or is just theory? why would wrong globes cause it? differnt circuit or wattage?

proper brake globes have two terminals on the bottom.. one brake, one park..
If you swap that for one terminal in the middle, it bridges the park and brake together. I have also seen globe filaments do that, just not in a car.. |

As above the contact on or single filament globes is in the centre, will cause the dual filament holder to fuse the park/brake circuit together. Yes, I have seen a filament drop. What happened to me was, one day my cruise didn't work, noticed it in the day, I was dumbfounded. ( Later that night i started the car, and being a nice bloke i don't turn my lights on facing houses at night when leaving, my dash lights illuminated. Turns out the metal upright leg that holds the filament had bent and passed over the parker's leg. problem solved for everything.

talking about cruise not working that also happend but it workd fine later so i didnt worry about it hmmmm i hope thats all it is..... other wise i mite send the car to the scrap heap....lol

pulled the brake globe out n it was stuffed sorta fused itself the the other element now cars back to normal thanks guys saved me a trip to the auto electrion(close enough lol)
