Hey,
I have a Pioneer DEH-P4850MP cd player and I have just gotten an AUX input adaptor for it. The adaptor is not a geniune pioneer item. Anyway I plugged it in the back and connected my ipod to it and now i have no idea how to get it to work. eg. change from CD/Tuner to AUX. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Tim |

im having the same problem. ive got a deh4050ub model pioneer deck in my ba. its got the ipod/usb connector lead installed to it aswell. however it doesnt recognize either my or my gf's ipods, or my thumbdrive. however the last years pioneer model i had previously played all three of them with no issues.

Take the ipods/thumbdrive into a store and try them on a 4050UB in the demo boards... If they work, your head unit is faulty, if they don't work, they're incompatible (very unlikely).

My headunit is weird, it seems to be racist. It can play USB sticks fine, but it doesn't play my mate's Ipod, but everyone elses it plays fine...wtf?
I would think if the head unit doesn't play either USB or Ipod, then the head unit is probably faulty, or the USB extension cable is faulty. phong =P~
