Hi all,

My rear view mirror (the one that mounts to the tab on the windscreen) keeps falling down. The reason for it happening is that the bass from my sound system rattles the grub screw loose. If I crank it for 10-15 mins, the mirror ends up falling off the tab, and bounces off the gear lever, onto either the passenger seat or floor (depending on what gear I am in).

At the moment, I am carrying an allen key all the time, and just put the mirror back up when it falls down.

I have tried tightening the sccrew as tight as I can get it, and have tried different mirrors. I have taken the one out of my EF, and it does the same thing.
Is there a way that I can prevent the mirror from falling down, without having to use a threadlock on the grub screw?

Any help would be appreciated
Chris

PS: Before anyone says it, I do not wish to turn the volume down :lol:

...just use thread locker? you can still unscrew the later on even with a thread locker...just don't get the permanent one.

If not, use a bit of pipe thread tape thing that plumbers use...might make it stick a bit better.

Also...playing loud music is cool while you're at the current age, though you'll be deaf before you know it. (I am only older then you by one year...yet I am already getting deaf)

phong =P~
