i have a small patch on the inner side of the subframe. Near the jackpoint on the passanger's side front.

My panelbeater has quoted me approx 200-300 sight unseen.

Is this a good price. Can this rust be fixed without cutting it out?

Help is much appreciated.

i have that too. my mechanic was going to knock it all out and fill the gap with weld.. or if that was too hard, just bog it lol

hey thats just like mine too.i just did a quick fix till im ready to cut it out and weld in a new piece.i just cleaned it up with a grinder then wiped it down with wax and grease remover then put some rust converter on it and sprayed it with a can or that spray paint killrust then let it dry then smeared some silastic over the top and then resprayed it again.mines wasnt that bad where it had a hole though,i poked mine with a screwdriver to see how bad it was.

best thing to do is cut it out. its not worth the repecution of it coming back againg and again and again. honestly pay the money and get it done by a licensed professional.

hope it helps...

do it properly and get a piece welded in there.
I have a landcruiser aswell as the EF wagon so i really know what rust is like.
You have to attack it as soon as you find it.

E series fix ups dont worry when theyre worth something theyll get fixed properly. NOT. Same as all the rest. Ya cant stop it. Drive it till youre sick of it and let the really keen restoration weirdo fix it ay.
