well guys last night was driving home from the city and someone decided they wanted to pull out infront of me. so i slammed on the brakes i didnt think my car had abs but the pedal was jumping up and dont (realising) the brakes and engaging like abs does. got offf the brakes and got on the free way and when i came off the freeway the pedal felt normal then got to a certain spot and it feels like when the car is off and u push the pedal??? just been searching and sort of have the feeling its the brake booster??? how long would it take to change one over?

hmm just went for a drive then all seems good?? :S pads might have glazed over and when i drove this morning just took the surface off?

It might help to check for sure whether it has abs. My guess is all EF's had abs, but thats only a guess.

Not all ef's had abs.Fairmonts and fairlanes had abs as standard.Do you have an abs light on the dash when you turn the key to the on position?

yeah i do have one of them lights. i thought it just told me lies everytime i turned the car on, as i thought it didnt have abs.

My Futura has ABS and I've had it kick in a few times in the wet.

Very handy.
