G'day
I want to put a Auto Meter Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge in my car and im wondering how i would wire it up? Iv looked around and it looks like i have to connect it to my O2 sensor somehow. Has anybody done this before? Cheers http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetai ... h&gid=2567 Also does anyone know if the EL falcons are narrow band O2 sensors or wideband O2 sensor?

If you look on the same AutoMeter web-site, you can download full instructions with diagrams in PDF format for installation of ALL their gauges.

From looking into this myself, it seems falcons are narrow band.

I'm putting my boost gauge in the ashtray.. so it's hidden when I don't want it visible..

yeah they are narrow-band and are fairly useless for anything other than curiosity value and to check your sensor is working properly

As gogetta said, narrowband is a waste of time. If you want to see your proper afrs, then get a proper wideband o2 kit which will come with the sensor and guage. They're pretty easy to set up, you'll just need an exhaust shop to blow a hole out of your headers and weld the nut on.
This is the one I'm using. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lc1.php

I did some checking.. that Autometer guage has an accessory available that is actually a o2 sensor it seems.. so he can still use the gauge, just needs the sensor too.

ok, iv been looking around an the wideband gauges with the wideband O2 sensor kit looks like the best bet but they are around the $400 mark. I dont think i want to spend that much just to check my afr. ahwell
