Just slotted the v8 and auto back into my ef ex pursuit, and had troubles with it dropping in and out of gear. Checked the fluid level, which was down a bit, so i topped it up. It then held gears properly and shifted fine for four or five days. Heading to work the next morning, it drove fine, but when i went to select reverse, it wouldnt drop out of drive.

Its now stuck in drive. The diagnostic mode on the dash says that its in the correct gear according to the shifter, so the linkages are all fine. it wont start with the shifter in reverse or drive, only when its in neutral or park. The inhibitor switch is new. fluid level should be fine, perhaps just a little high.

The park pawl wont engage, which as i understand it, is manually engaged, so it sounds like a shift linkage inside the box has come off. what do i do! I kinda need reverse... :D

Yeah, as far as i know, didnt have too many left over parts. Anyone know anything about the spools inside the central control valve sticking or something?
