Hi all,
Bought a T5 setup today, but i still need the bellhousing and flywheel. Does anyone know if a 94 Mustang bellhousing will fit? i can get one for $200. Also i read somewhere that EBII onwards the auto trans controller is built into the ECU, BUT for the v8's right up until EF they still have the separate trans controller? Is this correct , and if so can i just remove it and go on my merry conversion way, or will i still have to do the resistor mod to the loom???? Cheers

Nah you're right Frank.
Trans computer is seperate in V8s, but you can't just remove it, as the ECU expects some signals from the TCU like Frank said, otherwise it will limit torque.

What motor was in the 96, wasnt it the 4.6 if so then no it wont fit. If it is for a 5.0 then it will fit, but the starter will be on the wrong side, and from memory they run a different starter to us, its 2 bolt not 3 or the other way around

Ah Bummer, Will have to keep a look out for a manual ecu, but in the meantime will have to do the resistor trick. The 94 'Stang, was the same 302 block as the aussie. Does it matter what side the starter is on, dont the blocks accept either side? looks like i may have to source a 2 bolt USA starter then, theres not many other options here. Unless the 94 ran the 3 bolt? The guy has done the 5spd conversion in his EB and he's pretty certain it will work......
