no idea

looks like it is a small surge tank
what pumps are they
is it for EFI or carb
how old is it

all this makes for a better estimate on the cost

Yeah its not that small i would say it would hold around 15 litres. The pumps are a Bocsh 044, Holley Red and and not to sure what the other bosch unit is the writing has faded. I would say that it hasnt done that much work too.

seems fair, it'd cost at least twice that to built it from scratch using identical parts

THe one on ebay is made specifically to fit a certain type of car. The car is expensive and people modding them are likely to be cashed up and will buy these things for $1500.

It was the same when the xr6t's came out. Intercooler piping kits were selling for $800?

The pump in the OP's post doesnt look like an 044. The banjo end looks odd compared to an 044. Is there a part number on it? It might be an old version or something?

Holley red's arent worth that much new $150ish from memory, the filters would be worth nothing if used (there is the clearish plastic low pressure filter before the holley and the EFI metal filter after the 044), The lines are worth $40 a metre new if EFI. $5 a metre if it is low pressure stuff.

Real new 044's are $200.

A 2 litre surge tank is fine for drag racing. Something that is 15 litres is likely a proper stand alone tank rather than a surge tank.

Hope that helps a bit.

You think all the ebay ones are dodgy?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BOSCH-044-058025 ... 240%3A1318

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BOSCH-044-PERFOR ... 240%3A1318

This guy is pretty popular on a few forums, dont think he would stooge people.

never said ebay ones are dodgy.

just saying if you want to buy the stuff new, you need to buy it now.
ALL of the prices will go up, some sellers with large stocks and/or slow turnover will take longer to go up. BUT it is coming. We have pretty high turn over at work and the new stock coming in is costing us more. Don't you just love a piss weak aussie dollar.
ALL of the holley stuff has already gone up. some carbs and manifolds are costing us almost $80 more then what we could buy them for a few weeks ago.
havn't needed to order any pumps yet, but we've seen the pricing and it doesn't look good.
