Yup, Ben took it for a drive today and allayed my concerns, thanks Ben for doing this. I guess I wished there was a little more power there. I am still going to check the timing when I get a light, mine decided not to work.
I'll be happier when I have an EL engine in the beast which will be sometime in the future. I just want to get the outside looking reasonable and then I'll stuff around with the internals, both interior and engine.

If the smartlock module(BEM) displays a concern it wont crank.

Could be the press reg but I am not going to change it just yet. This engine is fine, runs well with no other issues. I really suspect that this problem lies in the cabin and associated wiring given that the car originally went for a swim...
