For reliablity i would go the carbi 250(if you wanted a durable rally/bash car that wont let you down an XD XE XF station wagon with the single rail 4spd and the carbi 250 and you got one very competitive machine.

But if you want near 100%reliability plus good fuel economy i would go the efi 250 i used to own a ZL fairlane with the 3spd auto and efi 250 and never had problems with it and had it for a few years.

Yer my ol uterus had a single rail 4 but mod to a t5 with the 250carb with current fuel prices i would like betta economy but also power and you genrally cant get better power and lower fuel consumption lol  yer i was thinking if id be better sticking with the old girl and maby boosting up the carby or puting in efi?????

EFI. They go heaps better but youll need the EFI cam to go with it. They are so tuneable but no one seems to know them even tho theyre 25 years old now. Its all in the airflow meter. Do it properly and it makes it a no brainer. Theyre torque monsters.
