today i pulled the stereo/amp etc cabling from my new EF, it was running along both sides against the existing wiring, now the car wont start, it turns over but doesn't run, only thing i can think of is maybe i accidentally severed the electric fuel pump cable and thus no fuel, assuming it has an electric fuel pump i don't know much about EF/Ls.

any thoughts about what could have happened?

How would you have severed a wire??? You didn't remove the wiring with an oxy did you?

On a serious note, i will say its something to do with smartlock, check the fuses.

And yes, All injected falcons have an electric fuel pump.

Can you hear the fuel pump "buzzing" when you turn the key on to ign? can you hear the relays clicking.

As Pimp said, check all you fuses.

um, did you connect both power cables, as one is for the smart lock, if thats not connected it wont start, had this problem with the ED, in mine the 2 wires i had to connect were green with yellow strip, not sure about yours.

It stands for "Courtesy lamp" meaning interior lights. The smartlock system uses this circuit, so when the fuse, or main interior bulb is out, the car will not go.

Fuel pump is inside the tank.
