That's for the sub that's part of the premium sound package. It's designed for an 8" free-air sub which are apparently fairly hard to find so if you want a sub you're probably better off getting a seperate box for it.

free- or open-air means just that: the sub is designed to operate in free-air, ie: no box around it..

Jaycar sell a pretty good 8 inch free air sub, has a good sound - no doof doof, but increase bass response significantly.
You will also need to install a amp for the sub - and connect the amp to you head unit - Amp should have a low/high frequency crossover on it as well, if you are looking for cheap solution try someone like JB hifi - 300 watt two channel amp for $77. from here you can spend $1000's as well, depends on how much you have. If you want to install yourself, get a cheap amp install kit from super-cheap - under $20, or you can pay $100+ for better quality. It all depends on how much basss you want - I only wanted a good sound - others want to deafen anyone walking on the street. PS - with a little fiddling, you can cut the hole a bit larger and install a 10 inch pioneer sub in the shelf, in some states it is illegal to alter the back parcel shelf, so be aware of this.
