Bosch Coil($50-$70), most auto shops will have them like Repco, autobarn, bursons etc.....
Before you buy a new coil, check the condition of the coil lead, ign leads, dizzy cap and rotor button!!!

Thanks for that, I planned on doing the cap and button as well, leads are pretty new.
I had a slight miss on my EA and changing plugs, leads, cap and button fixed that so I,m a big fan of changing out them every so often. But this is a complete cut out, not a miss |

But this is a complete cut out, not a miss if it cuts out for a sec or two then it's probably the tfi module on the dizzy breaking down from heat. The tfi module sends the coil the negative trigger(pip) signal to the coil to fire. So yeah I would replace the module($80) or get a new dizzy($100-$250) depending where you buy it from. Or just get a complete one from the wreckers for $30-$50. Cheers..

Want to get this cleared up:
Is the rotor button part of a dizzy? Is it the bit that plugs into the side of it? Where is the coil located on an EB I6?

Thanks mate. I've got a new dizzy, leads and plugs sitting here waiting to go in. Wondering if it's worthwhile to swap the coil for a new one if the engine runs like s**t
