yeah pretty much, it will be quicker off the mark, and will rev a fair bit higher on thje freeway or at high speeds.

I would not like to be replaceing the diffs each weekend. Alot of work, just for that. you would be better off with 3.7's. bit of a compramise between the standard and 4.11

Incidentally, what is the standard diff ratio?? Is there a spec doc around that shows this for the various models??

get under the car, look at the top rear of the diff and there will be a sticker. it will state the ratio, and to the right it will tell you if it is a LSD or a SS. im pretty sure tahts right. been a while since i had to look.

if you're asking questions about swapping diff gears then forget it, you need special tools and you'll want someone to check that you've done it right.. but how could you do that?

The EF and EL glis came with 3.08s in the diff, the housing is also slightly smaller and therefore cannot be used with anything other than maybe 3.23s.

You'll have to buy a complete diff and go from there.

Good Luck!

im guessing you through sarcasm in there so ill explain for you

irs wasnt in falcons until the au wich was only added on the high end ghias im pretty sure

ive swapped centres before just not the gears alone

were did ef/el come into it i say at the top of the page i have an eb

ef/el diffs are not a straight swap int ebs either so im guessing your trying to have a go at me

wen i meant change the gears i mean centres have them sitting there,

but no dropping axles and removing centres is not what i want to do every weekend sorry i was generalising

thanx for the advice on the special tool ill go buy it
