Gday all....today the wife locked her keys in her EL Fairmont Ghia and its the only one we have. Besides smashing a window (which ive done before) is there any other way to unlock the doors?
If there is can you please PM me as I dont think its too smart posting the details hehe

Its quite easy to lock them in when she leaves them on the backseat then pushes the front doorlocks down thus activating the central locking..... when you close the backdoor your stuffed...... she had her hands full apparently and forgot they were on the seat when she closed the back door.
No i'm not in NRMA and i'm refusing to pay the $300 they want to get them out...... i'd much rather replace a smashed window.

sorry to seem rude but since when do people with central locking lock the door with the button?

ive never heard of anyone doing that on a falcon before.

im sure there is someone on here that will know of a way to do it and hopefully wont announce it in the open.

Getting babies out of the car with hands ful of school bags and what-not...... its rather convenient to lock the doors with the door buttons to save fumbling for keys...... personally I would do it different but we're talking about stupid bloody women here.
Doesnt matter now anyways.... I got the poops and smashed the front window.

or you can try someone elses key, they sometimes work like the holdens of old.. or you can bust the key barrel, im sure it's cheaper to replace a barrel than window.. There is a technique to it, but i'll go into more detail if anyone needs to know specifically..

Or get a coat hanger if you have some skill..

it is actually possible to lock your keys in you car. did it at cricket the other day. opened the car and locked mine and a mates phones and wallets in the glovebox then dropped the keys in the centre console. came back at the end of the day and the car had locked itself. if you dont put the key in the barrell or put the car into accessories or something within two minutes of opening it up it thinks you have gone away without locking it or opened it by accident so it locks itself for security

Yeah I heard it was if the dome light comes on, and if you have an iffy door sensor it does it.

Yeah this is why a spare key can be handy, cheaper than one window, most likely.
