I have a T56 with 4.11's and xr6eat 50 i got nfi what you're on about. Changing gears is no different to when i had a TR3650 with 3.23 diff, if anything i would say it's much better with the T56 in as i don't have to change gears as much.

As for the T56 holding up to power, well i've only got 210rwkw which is a breeze for it, plus a whole bunch of torque that it has no worries with, and i have a mate with 350rwkw with over 600nm plus there's all the other people with blown Boss's pushing around 400rwkw and around 1000nm with a good ol T56. So they can't really be that weak :)

The T56 is indeed a good box, it's tough as nails, quiet and a nice box to drive. It will handle the the 300rwkw you're chasing haydock_ and a conversion and be done cheap or it could cost you a bit more, just depends on how lucky you are finding the parts you need for the right price.

Probably even look at 3.9, isn't that waht the B-series runw tiht eh T56. Depends on what internal gears are in the box as well.

Right...

I think for a turbo T56 you wouldn't go with 4.11's, from what i've seen a lot of turbo's still keep 3.45s. N/A though, you can't go wrong with 4.11's, i just cruise along now and barely need to drop down gears if speeds change.

Also you say Mal wood said to not go higher than 3.45 with a T56, but in the other thread he told you to go 3.9's behind the T5? You are aware the T56 ratios are taller than the T5?

Just had a look through the paper work and yeah he reccond 3.45 street use 3.9 track with the t56 that was a box with ratios of 2.97, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, .80, .62 which is the 6060. So yeah i may have better explained the 3.45 ratio in my comment but the ratios in the box i got are 2.95, 1.95, 1.34, 1.00, 0.73. Not all that different
