I have a 9 inch diff with a detriot locker and every time I go to slow down it makes a bit of a clunk. The loudness of this depends on how hard I deaccelerate, is this normal, are they normally a noisy diff. Also whining gears can they be relapped in. thanks bracks

Your locker sounds normal to me. I don't know much about whining gears. But I have a set of 5.8s in my capri and the more I drive it the quieter the seem to get

it's normal enough for detroit lockers to clunk, it's just the noise of the locker engaging and disengaging
