I have pulled them apart, but you can't "remove" the colouring, its in the lense.

Use a heat gun to pull them apart, but be careful you don't crack them, and then because it was pointless, put them back together with black sikaflex adhesive.

are you sure you don't just mean those gay a** alteza's?
you can't remove the die from the bloody plastic. Other than from sun maybe, well atleast vn, vp tailights have that major floor s**t colour fast, and then you got to watch for dull clear lights coming on to say there stopping.

you can do this buy using a 50/50 mix of hot water and metholated spirits once you have used a hairdryer/hetgun to remove the lense, once removed you can use sikaflex (black) and alot of prussure for about 24 hours.

hope it helps.

yep.. :)
they can be pulled apart but its a b**ch of a job to get them apart without cracking the lense...
i only removed the orange from the indicator aswell as painting the orange in the garnish grey..
i used a sharp blade that was heated red hot to cut where the lense joined the backing...

and used black sickaflex to joint them together
here is a pic when they were on my ea...
