hi guys was wanting to know where i would find the vacuum line for map sensor on this 5.0l i have acquired 91 nc runs very rough and would like to know if anyone knows where map sensor vacuum comes from.

V8's run a maf meter that is attached to the air box.
It has two little heat probes in it DONT TOUCH THEM. You can clean them with electrical cleaner that leaves no residue. Check egr valve isnt stuck open allowing exhaust gases in at idle. |

Early EBs and NCs also run a MAP. I'd imagine that the vacuum line would run from under the upper inlet which can be a bit hard to see what your reaching for. Also, do what RAPTOR_XR8 says, which will also do lots for your motor.

Its actually a bap as it reads barometric pressure..
Its vented to atmo... Same as 6 cyl map sensor though..

correct,
so no vaccum line is used i always wondered if you could use these to convert back to map only??

So is there any good reason as to why ford used it then got rid of them.
Also without it plugged in would it effect the motor/tune. |

not realy sure why ford used it, think it was a new system for the first of there SEFI motors using a MAF, proberly needed as many sensors as poisable to get the fuelmixtures/timing corect
maybe lol

They found that there was enough air pressure compensation via ACT and MAF so they heave-ho'd the BAP sensor.
