hey you ,
my ef11 is mucking me about again,
when i go to put it in any gear it either takes a bit of force to push in gear or i have to release the clutch and try again, wats happening here?? any ideas???
can i lub up the gear box ,,, if so hows that done??

Worn Clutch, Gummy clutch, or Cable adjustment (A little too loose).

Is the EF even adjustable? - the XD/E/F was.

If it's the clutch then you will find that reverse will grind when you try and select it (leave it to wind down for around 10 seconds if it's anything like mine).
If reverse selects without grinding then it's not the clutch as reverse never has syncros, where as all other gears do which makes them impossible to select if the clutch is partly engaged
mine does this from time to time, i don't think it's anything to worry about, just try and train yourself to select your gear before you come to a stop.
If its not getting into gear easily while moving along, then yes you have a problem. Possible loose linkages in the box?? i really dunno about that..

should be bolt on the cable at the firewall. Screwing it in (clockwise)will raise the pedal, giving more travel. With mine though, i found that i had it adjusted so far in that it was hitting the bellhousing before the worn diaphram was releasing the clutch plate fully.

yeah reverse is a real b**ch, makes a rattling noise in reverse, with every thing i said should the clutch cable(i found the bolt behind the firewall) be tightend or loosend??? sorry for poor spelling

sounds like the same as mine a little while ago, turned out a bracket that pulls the thrust bearing forward was bent, twisted, and just f**ked. my advise is get it fixed now before you screw something else.
price for the bracket was around $140 plus fitting
