Well i just got a powerbond balancer so the motor will be going in no worries.

All honesty I am starting to sway away from playing with fire, I have asked a few blokes about a standard bottom end with the sort of power i am chasing and i can say that im more worried than skeptical.

A few opportunities have popped up for me, so my priorities have changed. I am looking to get a place of my own and im tossing up getting power of a weak block 5ltr and a near bulletproof 360 cube (5.9L) motor. its a no brainer in my opinion, especially in the cars they are in (EF vs Panel van).

But i will say that i may hold on to the blower and "light the wick" if i do ever feel the need.

It seems a shame, but i have had to step back and re-assess the situation, financially and logically. I dont have many points left on my licence, i more than likely need to pay attention to the diff, the box will be near on its limits too.

but you never know. :?

ive got a nice man o war 8.2 371 block sitting here for sale wich would love boost and whatever else u throw at it.
or u could stick with ur original plan and run low boost and revs, bpt reckons its the revs that kill them.
or u could stroke the 5.0 and run the 165,s on it . will b hell tourquey.

Of course. :D

but it will be blowerless.

I do feel alot of the car will be on its limits, the diff wont take too much more and im not prepared to rebuild a diff, motor as well.

Keeping the revs down and taking it easy isnt my style either, I love frying a set of tyres as much as anyone here, its like an alco realising their problem.

Will be in touch Jeff.
