hey just wondering if anyone can give me a quik run down on relocating the battery to the boot, at the moment i just have the dose pipe running infront of the block and around to the intake manifold side.

Im guessing you juse have some sort of terminal block in the engine bay then run 2 cables down from engine bay to boot and connect them to the terminal block under the bonnet?

use the biggest cable u can get :)
there is a decent power loss over that distance
also earth it to the boot as well

and add the earth strap from engine to chassis

the batter needs to be in sealed box as well

You have it right ,run the biggest cable 00 B&S from starter to battery and 2 negative cables. The 2 negs go from battery neg to chassis and the other chassis to motor earth.you can use the chassis as a joiner earth so you don,'t need a long cable.Make sure earths are clean metal.and do a search this has been covered b4

And make sure the battery box has ventilation or you'll corrode the fvck out of your boot

hey southy, just finished this mod as i've fitted a turbo. Use OO cable and run from starter to + side of battery in boot. I installed my batt on rhs of boot where the flat section is. For the negative side, where ur ground cable comes of drivers side of block, and then up to the original batt position, i bolted the cable to the chassis, where it already is, and just cut the rest off. run that cut off piece from ur boot floor to neg side of batt. Accumulate all ur pos + wires in the engine bay, as they were on ur batt, and buy an insulator block and bolt block to engine bay. I spoke to an auto elec about all this, total price about $130.
If u need photos to get an idea, happy to post

I run an earth cable [00] to rear bolt on gear box also..
With fans, ignition, injectors, [3] fuel pumps, there's a lot of current bouncing around which can cause spikes and plays havoc with tune / ignition timing etc.. Oscilloscope showed heaps of spikes...
