I was told that the plastic power steering pulleys on the EF-AU are prone to failure.

If anyone has any experience with this please share. If there is any truth in this then I would consider putting a steel one on.

my pulleys shat themselves recently. they had been replaced and were one of each, metal/plastic. the bearings were low grade and died. I would only get top quality in future. mine were only 50k old after being replaced by a repair company that rebuilt my cracked head 2 1/2 years ago
