G'day Guys,
On my crossover that came with the splits, it's got [ -IN+ -WF+ -TW+ -3dB] and I was wondering what the 3dB does for the splits.

weel im guessing here, cause it is a little hard to tell without some background on the type of speaker you have but....
3db is half power, ie if you where to take an output out of a -3db point, it would be passing half the power that the rest of the system is getting. Or ... it is quieter

Sorry, it's a set of the "Good quality" Boss splits (not the strathfield stock) direct from the U.S (Picture below) So the -3dB is to make the tweeter sound not as bright (high pitched)?

The -3db basically takes some power out of the tweeters, so they are not so loud. My alpine crossovers are adjustable. 0, -3 and -6 db.
This doesn't change the frequencies supplied to the tweeters, only the power.
