Thats not what i was saying you f**k wit.

NOT AT ALL did i say that you have to be fkn noisy as to make power, why dont you learn to read douchebag.

The thing is, you can't enhance power/flow all that much without creating more noise. While you can have an exhaust that will still be kind of quite and flow a little better (and i mean a little), its not going to be a worthwhile gain, espically seeing that you'll have to shell out for the extra muffler/res or what ever you end up with.

Read it again d***head.

i read it just fine the first time. you're still wrong the second time.

you can if, if you wanted to, build a system that marginly louder then stock (what he is after) that out flows and out performs ANY of the bolt on 2.5inch system you can buy.

settle down dude you'll have a heart attack.

ditto, aftermarket bolt on systems are made for consumer demand i.e. to be louder/sound better (although they don't always sound 'better'). They flow better MAINLY because they generally have one muffler and maybe a resonator and are a bigger diameter, not because they are a better quality muffler.

Using better quality mufflers it is possible to have a system that flows as well as an off the shelf item whilst maintaining similar exhaust volume.

But then again, where's the fun in not waking neighbours up when driving home post 12am.

mickyyyy - Im much like yourself. I will be looking for an exhaust system that flows as much as possible but want it quiet, but not necessarily stock sounding. Currently from in the cabin, I can barely hear the motor running its that quiet. I dont want it that quiet, but dont necessarily want it too audible when cruising at a certain rev range.

I think it will be a trial and error thing to get the sound your looking for.

I would suggest trying 1 high flow muffler before diff with a resi first. If its still loud, add another high flow muffler or resi. Size wise, I would stick with 2.5" for N/A application and mandrel bent.

Shav

Lukey do have a few products and 1 of them has a 3 muffler setup which i think would be best suited to me.
