Hey! I have an EF Falcon and when turn the key it wont start the accessories come on and the gauges work but it wont turn over, but when i tap under the adjustable steering column it turns over. Does anyone know wat the problem is?

Its the BEM, or rather the smarlock module contained within.

You will need a matching BEM, get one from a self serve wreckers and it will be cheaper.

There is a low, mid and high level BEM, different for EF/L too.

Look at the tech doco to find out which one you need.

It may pay to pull the garnish off the Steering hub and have a look at the ignition module, sounds like the pins have slipped out due to the shonky plastic clips used to retain the immobiliser harness.

I had this problem to and used a cable tie to secure it and it never gave me grief again.
