yeh those measurements that xflow has put up are wrong, the intech and e series engine have the same bore and stroke as the ba-bf engine.

so you are able to use ba rods and pistons???? i just didn't think they worked out cause the stroke on ba was 99.31mm and before series was a 96.31mm stroke.
here ACL SPEC'S

Engine: 4.0L EF-EL SOHC 12v
Capacity: 3984cc
Cylinders: 6
Bore Size: 92mm/3.62in
Stroke: 96.31mm/3.79in

Engine: 4.0L Intech SOHC 12v
Capacity: 3984cc
Cylinders: 6
Bore Size: 92.26mm3.632/in
Stroke: 96.31mm3.791/in

Engine: 4.0L BA Turbo Barra 240T 24v EFI
Capacity: 3984cc
Cylinders: 6
Bore Size: 92.26mm/3.63in
Stroke: 99.31mm/3.91in

see how ba different

do you machine a few mm off the top of the piston intill it don't over hang the block surface???? and if you go that do you cut out new valve slots so the valves don't make contact with the pistons tops or they clear without contact?

i know the big ends are same and bearing are the same ones.
thx jason

It looks as though you have a spelling mistake there!
Stroke changes, but swept engine capacity has not...??? WTF?
How does this work...
Stroke Hasn't changed since the crossflow days of 99.31mm....

was about to say the same thing.

the assembled length of the BA/BF rod and piston, when installed in an e serries block puts the piston about 17thou down at TDC.

to use a barra turbo piston you have to have valve reliefs machined in the right spot

$1550 I have built a few engines with these pistons... My Dart 330 has them, an MX6 we built and now a 1UZ 4.0 V8 Lexus.. Rings come with them so it leaves NO worries over which rings to get!!
Chrome Molly is a no no with forced motors apparently!!!

Yes.. We have two spare engines..
We worked it out to be 8.5 compression..
Too close to new years for exact CC...
