What exactly do these "chips" do, I heard about them all the time my mates saying yeah I got this chip put into my car and that chip put into my car but I have no idea what they do exactly..Anyone care to enlighten me please? |

My understanding, is that they largely pour more fuel in, making the car more responsive and thirsty.

this is true of the resistor based oxygen sensor mod "chips", however the chip linked is a little more complex than that. the main aim of the ebay linked pre-programmed chip is to replace a factory auto/gli tune with that of say a manual/xr6 or auto/xr6. a hell of a lot cheaper than buying an xr6 ecu and you get the benefits of better fuel curve (leaner, not richer), better timing tables, and better responsiveness to cam changes.
