Hi to all, does anyone here know the physical differences between the factory stacker cartridges fitted to EA,EB,EBII and ED.We bought a spare cartridge for our ED ghia off ebay that was listed to suit EB,ED and although the front of the cartridge looksthe same as ours,it won`t fit our stacker.Besides getting a refund,it may be more prosperous to resell it on ebay but I need to know whatE series it came from. The seller hasn`t replied and/or doesn`t know exactly.
Can someone PLEASEhelp 2 lovely girls! :?

I'm not entirely sure hear, but it may be an EF/EL one. They have different cable setups, so it could be the case.

If you can't get old mate ebay to fix you up, you may just have to sell it and repurchase like you say.

Sorry can't be more help. :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there was a ford stacker and an Alpine stacker, I'm not sure what was used on what though, or if it was just luck of the draw even.

ill go grab a shot of mine which is an EF Fairmont stacker, Non alpine (FMS audio) and you can see if it came from that, if not that should rule out EF/EL stackers.

RachelandCarolinesEDGhia Girls, I would have thought ,that in this day and age, you would be tech-savvy. For mine, the only way to go, is a new h/u that has provision for ipod. I fitted one to my EB and it was heaven on a stick!

the factory units work very well with new/good speakers imo.
changing the settings for different types of songs can get annoying
i like my music loud...
the only other issue is lack of adjustable amp controls and
stacker not liking some or worn cds
also i have both types of cartidges fms and alpine
the old type is bigger and squarer.
p/m me if your interested in getting either cartridge and ill get some pics.
