Hey guys,

I bought a set of BA 18"s off a mate(thinking they would fit), took them down to shop to get rubber and put them on, and they said they won't fit.

Iv'e had it lowered with the wheel arch pretty much sitting as low as the top of the tyre.

Does anyone know what I can use to make them fit other than spacers???(I heard they were dangerous or something..)

Cheers

They simply said they wont fit, due to the EL being a pre AU model and having post AU rims..

Offset is different. You have +6 on a E series and the AU onwards has +35.

You need diferent rims unless you want to use spacers etc

Well that sucks. What can you use aside from spacers, if anything?

nothing. spacers or new wheels is the options you have, unless you want to spend a fair bit of mula with putting in an au diff and an e-series brake upgrade that changes your front offset to au/ba.

talked to my mate.. cant use spacers really... it can be done but the idea aint good when done. your better to sell or trade in your rims for ones that will bolt straight on as above

you could use adapters which bolt onto your studs, then have new studs coming out at the right offset. I have only seen them fail when fitted with incorrect nuts, however in saying this I would never use them as insurance won't cover you if you crash.

You can buy those rims in pre AU offset anyway, so just flog off the ones you got to someone.

I picked up a set of BA/BF 18 inches in pre-AU offset with 245 tyres for 500 on ebay last month..

They look fantastic on the EL and didn't break the bank.
