I replaced the head on my ED and as far as i can remember i had pressure in my radiator the day after, but now there is none, the car became quite hot, but it did not lose any coolant.
What could my problem be? All of the hoses seem to be in tact and in good condition but i couldnt be mistaken. I dont want to drive it without pressure as im not sure what the effects will be

i think it might have had pressure after the head change because of air pockets in the head..which can cause it to run hot..
once the air has bled out of the cooling system there should only be slight pressure when hot.. |

as in i can take the radiator cap off after driving the car for three hours without a towel or anything because it doesn't steam out or shoot water out. As in heat doesnt create any pressure in there. I guess it could just be my radiator cap. That would explain why there is no pressure yet i'm not losing any coolant as the leak is higher than the coolant level.

is there any overflow? is there any spots of coolant on the ground or around the engine bay? and water in the car (from a faulty heater core or heater hose). any splits or any type of damage on the radiator or hoses? How old is the rad cap?

The radiater cap has never been changed by me so im tipping it is really old. As far as i can see there is no coolant leaking out anywhere, I havent noticed any visible overflow. I have a spare cap in the garage somewhere, so ill try that then go on to the hoses
