Ive just started to look into doing up my 94 ed wagon and im just wondering what u guys think i should do.

some ideas i have are to make it faster of course lol but i want it to look good without being a magnet for the cops to pull me over every time i take it out after dark. its a stock white wagon and im thinking of a set of territory rims powder coated black rather than the silver and lowering it but that's as far as i really have gotten. let me know if u guys want photos to photo shop or look at.

also i do have a budget... being very little (im a bicycle mechanic and im not doing it for the money trust me) but i do want to do as much as i can myself or help someone and learn more. if someone needs someone to help on weekends and after work let me know i learn fast and am happy to learn

mags, lowered, XR kit and skirts, tint should see the thing looking trick as.

could go and put a fairymont bonnet on it for the nice looking front end.

Wagons are more difficult to modify externally due to the longer wheel base and a lack of factory parts. While you can use any sedan front bumper addon, the side skirts and rear aprons will not fit.

The ED and EF XR Wagons came with a rear spoiler on the tailgate, but seeings as less than 1000 were made, they don't come up for sale very often. I believe there is an aftermarket version, but have not looked that up yet.

I have the Sprint front lip on my wagon, and I think it suits the style and shape well.

Other options, include using AU Wagon sideskirts, but with out a suitable front bar look a bit odd, and the rear is even harder to find something for.

The EF XR Wagon did have a tickford style kit, but again, finding one is the fun part. Again, you can get these aftermarket, but expect to pay $$$$ for them.

Re the Territory Wheels, you would need to run adapters as they are the later offset wheel. This may be illegal in your state, and there have been some failures, however, many members have been using adapters with no issues.

To lower your wagon refer to the 'Lowering your Wagon' thread. On my wagon I am running S/Low King Springs and BOGE Short Struts in the front with a Pedders Swaybar, and 1 1/2" lowering blocks in the rear. I have found the handling to be much better than I expected, but not as good as my sedan was.

Read the stickys at the top of each forum index for ideas on go fast, stop fast etc, but extractors, exhaust, better intake etc for go fast on a budget, and slotted rotors for stop fast.

Hope this helps

BenJ

cheap easy starter mods and easy to do are things like.

FULL service (diff oil, auto etc etc),cold air, shiftkit, exhaust, wheels, brakes, interior paint/dye.

some slightly harder to do but easy to do after some reading or advice, cam, suspension (bushes/springs/swaybars/shocks etc), diff gears, list is endless.

basicly if you dont want the boys in blue on you, dont do the "a** in the weeds" look, no blue parker globes, no stockies on the rear, basicly look at your local commo heros and dont do what they do :P

be carefull its a money pit, but a fun one.

instant cop bait... go a nice subtle 17 or 18" wheel, in e-series offset. (nothing illegal there)

darkest legal tint with possibly a slightly darker tint for the rear and cargo areas,

a mean sounding exhaust helps alot, just be causious on your exhaust tip choice. as ben and i have done, find a XR front lip and throw it on, makes a big difference.

note in my shots the lip was only sitting there, not yet bolted to the bar so there are a few small gaps.
