Hey hey, hoping someone can help me out i purchased a Viscom 5.6 VS5607 Flip down roof mount, the instructions are a bit F uk ED.

Quote:

Notes

1. POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE MUST BE DISTINGUISHED WHILE ELECTRIFYING
FOR NO DAMAGE TO THE UNIT
2. THE UNIT IS OF HIGH PRECISION AND NO HUMIDITY
3. OPEN THE MACHINE IF DISCOVERS THE WORD ISCONTRARY PLEASING TO
PRESS AV KEY TO TURN.
4 THE SURFACE OF LCD MONITOR CANN' T BE CRASHED OR SCRATCHEDBY
HARD OBJECTS
5. DO NOT LEAVE THE UNIT IN A LOCATION OF STRONG LIGHT WHILE USING
FOR THE BEST RESOLUTION AND COLOR.
6. UNPROFESSIONAL CANN' TDISASSEMBLE THE UNIT HIMSELF
7. PLEASE INPLUG THE POWER CORD IF NO USE.

The unit has a white cord with a loom
Ground Wire (black wire)
Door (yellow)
DC+12v (red)

and the also is a what can i call it a plug like a "ps2" connection (computer term not a sony term) male and female and the male side has a loom with two RCA cords

AV1 (yellow RCA)
AV2 (red RCA)
DC+12V wire and fuse (red)
Ground (black wire)

How should i go about installing it, hook both dc+12v's together and run to an accessorie wire and then connect the grounds together and then run them to a ground?

or should i connect the yellow door wire to the interior light loom and connect ground to the left over wire?

any ideas or theroys hoping to install tomorrow or sunday for the kids in the missus car.

The car is a EL and the Head unit is a usa DVD/MP3\VCD\CD\ETC ETC thing.

No One?

so no one has had any experiance with this kind of setup. it doesn't have to be this model cause most of these things are wired the same. i m just a bit confused as why it requires two powers and two grounds in both the unit itself and the lead.
