Locks cycling for some unkown reason, sounds like it set your alarm off at them time too. I've had this before, no alarm installed though, actually came out in the morning to find the car unlocked. good thing I park in a garage.

But sorry cannot give you insite into any fixes.

I had a similar problem and I found the tailgate lock to be very stiff and I sprayed it with silicon spray and worked it manually until it was smooth .The linkage needed a spray as well. After that I had no problems. You will need to take the trim off to get to the mechanism.

The front doors and tailgate are master actuators, so look at them if any probs arise.
If the tailgate is adjusted to close a bit tight against the seals, this can cause the actuator to not lock/unlock correctly.

after some more investigating i found that it was actually the left passenger rear door actuator that was rooted disconnected it untill i find a replacement, so the door is permanently locked from the outside but can open from inside only and all other doors locking normally with remote and key. thanks everyone for their replies and advice it helped me alot.CHEERS.
