Hi Guys,

I have found a immaculate XR6 but the problem is its manaul and im looking for a auto.

What needs to be done to convert it to auto?

One issue i found is getting the transmission wired up or is there a harness which is a plug in setup and just install a auto ecu and away i go?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

You will need an auto ECU the loom should be there in the bay, just need the remainder of the loom from bay to box. Best off finding someone with an auto setup and eyeball thier setup. Just come to liverpool one night the guys there will be happy to show you what needs doing.

Put it this way i rather pay a workshop to do it for me. Maybe Joe at CMS do it for me? ill give him a call.

I hope it wont be a 2 expensive exercise

I guess i then can sell the 5 speed conversion and use the money towards the auto conversion :D

I rather install a full reco trans and converter and do the conversion.

Would u think 3grand is enough to do everything? that means to drop it of at a workshop 2 do everything for me?

Also how much can i get a 70,000 km 5 speed complete conversion with a new clutch?

could always buy any old BTR auto, then buy THIS, and get quotes on fitting along with a large aftermarket trans cooler.
