Where did you get the fuse from, just because it says 20 amp, doesn't always mean it wont take substantially more, hehe.
I got a set once, put one in when i blew it before finding the fualt, the fuse just sat there smoldering, the coating, ended up melting the coating off. no I didn't leave it in I just used it several times, it's a great way around smartlock, hehe. Now i know not all fuse are equal quality.

I see this all the time and basically the fuse is loose in the fuseholder and the heat from the bad connection causes the fuse/holder to melt and to repair it ,you will have to wire up another fuseholder to replace the burnt one.Cheers Kevman

i only use narva fuses no cheap ones ... i had a look around under my dash and the brown wire thats connected to my park lamps and heated up the whole length of the circuit and from that i mean from the fuse box to relay to parkers it dont look pretty the feeling i have is someone has been there before judging my the elec tape cable ties etc .. i loose my licence is 30 or so hours so its just 1 more thing on the list to be fixed i got pictures but im sure we have all seen burnt wires before lol ive done no electrical work beside changing the rear tail/stop globes which were 10w lol im sure the 2mm wire can handle that with ease sooo
