gidday all, i swapped a gearbox for a 351 clevo v8 the other day for me to play with and i noticed at the front of the block on a small square platform it has a M stamped in it, im just wondering what the M means. any info would be appreciated. cheers.

hmm, i odnt know about the stamp at the front

but i do know at the rear of the block where the oil pressure sender goes will ususaly have a "GF" cast into it meaning Geelong Factory.

The "M" was the american 351/400Ci block with taller deck height again. but dont know what was cast into it to tell the difference.
