Not hard on the EL ECU.. I did it with my EA.. and I had extra issues to deal with.. namly TCM and smartlock bypass..
Your ED has smartlock and the ECU handles the tranny so less work for you. Think there is a doc in tech docs for you. dunno about ACL for falcon.. I've used acl duralites before but that was a long time ago. |

ACL kits are good kits, just don't use the brass welsh plugs. Brass welsh plugs and alloy heads are not a good mix, i was informed by the guys at the machine shop last week when i picked up my freshly machined block and rebuilt head.
Apparentlt the combo of brass and alloy and water with coolant builds up an electrolysis between the items. the guy reacons its the number 1 cause of corroded heads. I had already lined up to buy stainless welsh plugs, so it was not a sales pitch either. BTW got a nice set of brass welsh plugs for sale for a 4.0 block. going cheap if anyone is interested. haha Once I do my motor, i will be able to give a completly informed opinion of what an ACL race rebuild kit is like.
