well i just installed a trip computer into my EF falcon, everything works well but the range KM's, i had a 107 km til empty, went for a drive, gave it abit on the downramps and was driving for about 20mins, when i stop it now says that ive got 115 km til empty????????? when the actual fuel guage has gone down about 5mm....

anyone got any ideas or is it just unreliable?

its working.

You need to get an average on the TC.
a 5 minute drive with random fuel demands will give you a less accurate display.

clock up 80k's with normal driving and you'll see it works.

in fact they work very well.

It's working OK. When I fill my car before a long trip, the TC usually calculates distance to empty on my current city usage, around 400km. When we hit the highway, I see it gradually creep up to 600-odd as my average consumption drops down.
