Hi folks,
It's been so long since I posted on Fordmods and I hope you can help me with an answer. Now sometime in the future my dash has to be removed to replace a leaking A/C evaporator, this has started me thinking about doing the CC Conversion and I've started to get the bits together. So far I've managed to get Blend Door motor, Air vent solenoid and the fan speed controller. These parts are from an EL, will these parts be suitable to put into an EF? I have been led to believe that if all parts are from the same model then they should all work correctly - is this correct? IF I do decide to do the conversion do I just follow the wiring instructions in your excellent document. I'm bound to have a few more questions but at the moment I am just collecting the bits and doing some homework. Cheers Paul B.

Hi Paul
The most important combination is the vacuum controller and the climate control head unit (the bit in the dash). It is recommended that these two items be from the same series of car at the least i.e. EFII to EFII or even better the same actual car. As long as the rest of the item are EF/EL you should be fine. I and when you grab your bits make sure you get the little vacuum line from the dash unit to the the vacuum distribution block on the heater box. Cheers RD

gday mate, your better off getting a heater box from a fairmont/fairmont ghia and a dash loom w/BEM from a fairmont/fairmont ghia. This was what was done to my car and it runs as if it was factory, plugs straight into the existing Engine Bay Loom.
