recently i lost all spark in my car, so replaced coil (which turns out didnt need to be done anyway as the orig was fine) and dizzy - although the dizzy and TFI were from a wreckers.
got the car running finally all was well last night the car started with a slight miss that eventually got worse and worse and worse to the point that i couldnt accelerate past 10kph so i figured it was a dodgey lead or leads replaced the leads, dizzy cap and rotor was running great until this morning the miss has slowly returned, except now it idles fine and only misses a little (like it did last night) when i accelerate any ideas? could it be a dodgey TFI? its getting spark to all cylinders... the only thing in the ignition system i havent replaced with a new item is the dizzy/TFI and the spark plugs!!

hm well i looked into what an aux shaft is
hoping its not that lol this morning when it was running fine, the low coolant light came on, then the car started running with a miss... this afternoon after work i started the car and it was still running with a miss, then i filled up the water and it ran fine.... strange lol then when i get home i turn the car off, turn it back on and it was running with a miss again after looking in the bay there was a water leak right above the throttle body, which may have leaked onto the ignition system, but it didnt seem wet. so i fixed that up and ill see how it runs later moral is that it seems the leads werent the problem lol

blown head gasket
you shouldnt be loosing water like that. i done mine today, cost a total of 68 bucks to do myself (i used the same headbolts coz im a dodgy bastard lol) na the headbolts were fine, the reason mine blew was because the previous owner replaced the gasket and didnt clean the block down and had enough gap for the coolent to make its way into the cyl and blow the gasket |

the reason behind the water loss was a hose clamp i undid when i was trying to fix the spark the first time around
the head gasket or head is f**k (well i thought so, there water gauge used to fluctuate up and down under acceleration, but its stopped that since changing the dizzy) and i had thought it might be just getting worse, but would have thought that it would nt cause problems when both hot and cold alot of things are still pointing to ignition after going for a drive just now after fixing the leak and letting the ignition dry out (as i thought it might have been a wet TFI module or coil) it seems fine, and the car is still hot, so again dont think its head related im going to get some maccas now (lol) so ill see how it goes
