ey everyone. i have a EF fairmont that has been lowered etc. Everytime i park the car on a little bit of a hill where the front of the car is a little bit down, when i turn the car off, a bit of coolant comes out of the little over flow pipe and the front of the radiatr bottle.
Why does it do this. When i put coolant in it i fill just below the MAX line. How can i prevent this?? Can i block the little Overflow Pipe at the top of the radiator bottle. cheers TURBOFAIRMONT

Definitely wouldn't block it... Are you sure it's coming from the overflow? How often are you filling it up? Could be leaking elsewhere...

Yeah, same here, take the cap off and check the condition of the rubber seals, and for white crispy stuff on the surge tank (dried coolant) |

Hey all, Nah its definetly coming out of the overflow pipe, my bro who is a mechanic said it could be 2 things,
1) i need a coolant flush cause there could be some dirt and crap stuck in the system. 2) because i have after market extractors and have no heat shield after driving for a while or driving on a hot day i could be heating up my coolant. I need to change my coolant bottle anyway cause its brown colour. what does everyone think. cheers TURBOFAIRMONT

Ok I will change the cap just in case.

blocked radiator cores.
to a much more uncommon fault, head gasket is letting compression in to the cooling system. but you'd have a lot more problems if that were the case.
