Hi again, 5L inj eng in xw. Did post No 7 problem which was resolved, harmonic balancer.. Thanks.
Problem is fitted new billet balancer & started engine. Ran better still, all smooth, ,,,,, New chrissy present-- pressure cleaner?
Cleaned engine bay but stayed away from most electrical connectilns?
No start at all from then on.
Cleaned all connections with air and crc. including dizzy. No start.
Did try to fire on no 3.
Have a complete running eb 5l so all parts necessary,
Changed dizzy. coil inc, cop, rotor, leads. No start, no 3 tryed again.
Fuel pressure is good. compression good, manually checked timing(spark plug out tdc compression, screwdriver in plug hole and see no 1 plug fire check timing mark on pully)
No go. spray aero start into cranking engine, no go.
Can smell fuel when cranking, Good strong blue spark from coil.(1" long)
Nearly the same from plug leads.
Changed computer. NO go.
any ideas welcome, Thanks also car sat for a week i was away, when I came home and tried it again no 5 & 7 were tring. extractor tubes hot.

have you checked the injectors are firing correctly, and is the firing order correct? remember EFI Windsors run the Cleveland Firing order IIRC

if it was me i woul spray all the plugs / leads (inside) with a wd40 type of product. if it doesn't start after that hmmm i am outta ideas as you have done what i would of suggested.

Are you still using the salt and pepper connections just behind the intake?? Water in there means no go.

Yes all original wireing, including salt & pepper. they have been blown with air and sprayed crc.
Injection sequence shouldn,t be a prob as was running fine
Have sprayed all plugs and leads.

how about the firing order, have you checked thath becaeuse after replacing dizzy, it could be out

you have placed the leads on correctly 1 2 3 etc etc, i recently change the plugs on my six and muddled up the leads it wouldn't fire correctly. just a suggestion.

Happy to say moter running fine. Only thing not changed, plugs.
Put plugs in .fired straight up. I find it hard to believe that washing could cause this problem but seems to be so. I M happy so I dont care.
The old saying comes to mind,,, Do the easy things First.

Hey nice machine..
This is a long shot but have fuel lines been disconnected and maybe refitted in reverse?
I had similar problem on my XG ute in my gallery, Everything checked out ok but refused to start. AS it happens a friend of mine did some work headers and disconnected them and replaced incorrectly, took a while to figure out, a simple mistake overlooked..
