Hi all

Was wondering if ED spindles (the bit with the top and bottom ball joints) are the same in an ED as they are in an EL? I ask as the lower ball joints are a bit dodgy in the EL setup I have but the ED's are near perfect. I wanted to substitute the EL's for the ED's until I can get some new lower ball joints and have them pressed into the EL spindles.

Cheers
RD

Excellent, thanks cjh - thats exactly what I wanted to hear :) Bit short of cash at the moment so a temporary replacement is the way to go.

Cheers

BUmmer! And I thought the guys on ebay were talking through a hole in their head when they listed spindles for EA-ED only.... seems the buggers were right! :)

Ah well, I'll whack the K frame in as-is and buy new ball joints later and have them done.

Cheers

There's no great problem in the ball joint area, that don't move, just the boots are broken. They will definitely last a week or 2 until I get some new ones. Either way I would have to pull the front suspension to bits anyway so it's 6 of one.......

Cheers

Yeah, the disc's are different, in metal composition & have longer studs, but you can swap them around. They also changed compound of the friction material too.
