how do i remove the ba fairmont gear stick selector (auto) . or any links on removine the whole centre consol.

If its just the plastic gear handle mate, then just unscrew it and pull it off, its that easy.

Yep it's pretty simple. Take a look at the front of the gear stick, just below the switch you push to change gears, and there's a small phillip's head screw in there. Remove it, and the gear stick comes right off.

Are you talking about the silver PRND plate? I've managed to remove this also in order to change the globe underneath to blue to match the XR cluster. I've got full instructions with photos of the final product on this thread:
