Hi all. i have a 302 EFi with E7 heads. I am about to get some extractors for it. my concern is that at some stage i will be putting GT40P heads on the car. If i get extractors to suit the E7s will the same extractors bolt up to the GT40Ps or are the bolt spacings different?
be keen to hear from someone who has done the conversion. cheers |

they will fit up but you will have mad headaches tryna get plugs in when the GT40p's come along.

Get a set of Advance headers and you'll be laughing.

Yes I have pacies with GT40ps in a EL. I had them before with the E7's. I just got some custom leads with 90 deg ends to suit.

iv got pacemaker ph4000 headers with gt40p's. Its fine, its just the design is ment for E7 heads spark plugs not gt40p's. I had a major headache with cylinder 5 sparkplug as there is no way to fit any OTS sockets past the extractor and over the sparkplug.
I cut and grinded down a socket and made it so i could get a ring spanner onto the socket. Its only cylinder 5 thats the problem, i suppose another way to reach it is to drop the extractors. All the others can be pulled out normally with a socket and wrench. Oh, your also going to need 90 degree boot ends on your spark leads also, or your gona start to develop a nice missfire from the extractors burning the leads. |

im running Lukeys with the GTP heads, a set of eagle 9mm leads with the 90degree boots, no worries.
note though, these headers arnt the most disreable size, but there a good price

running hurricane headers on mine. i also run 90deg boots on the leads. i have trouble with no.7 plug on mine, but its not impossible. i can change plugs without undoing headers.
