Last week I had the head exchanged for an XR6 head. Since then I've found that when I put the boot in, the car splutters and coughs until I back off the throttle. It runs fine otherwise and only does this while driving, not while parked. I disconnected the battery in order to reset the ECU (it's a Tickford ECU) but the problem persists. Everything else is unchanged; I'm still running the same spark plugs I ran in the old head. Any ideas?

I'm finding that the more I drive the car, the less this problem occurs - maybe it's just taking the ECU a while to realize that it's wearing a new head
