i have an EB 6 cyl and have been getting a fuel smell .have changed the charcoal canister .does anyone have a pic or diagram of which way the vapour line should be like the one way valve ,or any ideas what might cause this ,any help is good cause it stinks .

only smells when stopped after about 10 seconds .it stinks heaps around the canister .

dunno, maybe you have the vapour lines the wrong way round :P, unfortunatly I wouldn't know which way they should go :(.

I've had a similar problem with my old VN Commonbore, but it would only smell while the car is moving, I never bothered to replace it though, but yours seems worse than what I had....

its a holden there expected to smell .dont know which way pipes go they look normal.

Check your fuel cap isnt faulty.

Check to make sure the breather hose off the filler neck isnt split or loose.

do i need to drop the tank down a bit for that .looks a bit hard to see .oo yeh it smells when the tank is between quarter and half full .put fuel in today when i took the cap off had alot of pressure in it .

have you changed the fuel pump lately? if so check the tighteness off the ring.

changed the sender a week ago ,theres no smell at the back only at the front around the canister .getting a ford repair manual see if that tells me anything.

Check to see if the canister has fuel in it.If it has i would try and remove the fuel or just replace the carbon canister.

changed the canister a couple months ago ,the old one stunk of fuel .if theres fuel getting in there how would that be happening.
